Steven Pristawa, P.E., is the State Traffic Safety Engineer in the Office of Safety Section of the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT). Mr. Pristawa joined RIDOT in 1991 after graduating from the University of Rhode Island. He worked as a project engineer, working on all aspects of traffic engineering. In 2011, he became the Chief Civil Engineer of both the Traffic Engineering Section and the Traffic Research Section. Since 2017, he has held the position of State Traffic Safety Engineer within the newly created Office of Safety. He is responsible for RIDOT’s Traffic Engineering, Safety Engineering, Office of Highway Safety, and Traffic Research Section. Company Website:
