Kristin Kingsley is a nationally recognized expert in automotive safety with over 25 years of experience advancing vehicle technologies and policies that save lives. Her work emphasizes the critical role of vehicle-based countermeasures within a Safe System approach, ensuring that interventions are grounded in sound science, real-world data, and effective policy. Drawing on 15 years of public service at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the US Department of Transportation, and more than 8 years of working with the automobile industry, Ms. Kingsley brings an engineering background to a collaborative, solutions-oriented perspective to complex auto safety challenges. Ms. Kingsley holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Transportation Safety from GWU’s National Crash Analysis Center.
