Al Carr is the Branch Chief for Clean Transportation and Infrastructure in the District of Columbia’s Department of Energy and Environment. He manages a team that advances sustainable transportation and energy policies. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester. He previously served as a Maryland state legislator from 2007 to 2023, where his policy portfolio included transportation, energy, environment, health, water, and housing.
