became Executive Director of the Maryland Port Administration in December 2023, and brings more than 30 years of port and economic development experience. As Executive Director, he oversees the state-owned terminals of the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore and has led the Port’s recovery following the Key Bridge incident. In 2025, Mr. Daniels led the port to its second-best year ever, handling approximately 50 million tons of cargo and setting a new annual record for containers. Daniels previously served as CEO and Port Director at Port Everglades, leading a $3 billion expansion, and as Executive Director/CEO of the Mississippi State Port Authority. He has also held port leadership roles in New York, Louisiana, and Maine.
