Francis Scott Key Bridge Rebuild Project
The Maryland Transportation Authority is hosting a tour of the Francis Scott Key Bridge Rebuild Project. Attendees will be shuttled to the southside and walk along the newly constructed trestle — an above-water platform that allows for quick and safe access to the work site.
From the trestle or a nearby pier, attendees will board a boat and head to the construction activities in the Patapsco River, where they will witness the largest fully rotating crane barge on the East Coast use a massive hammer to drive piles into the riverbed.
Note: This is an active construction site. Attendees should dress accordingly for site conditions. Tours are first come, first served for registrants and limited to 36Â participants. Attendees must be registered for this tour to participate.
