Join the Maryland Department of Transportation for a 12 mile ride through Baltimore City’s existing and planned bicycle and transportation trail network. Leaving from the Inner Harbor, attendees will ride urban bike lanes funded through local, state, and federal funding, hear about plans for the Baltimore Greenway Trails Network, learn about the Baltimore Bike Counter program, and enjoy the sights along the way. Some of the ride will be on roads without bicycle facilities, so participants should have some experience with bike riding in an urban environment. A safety briefing, helmets, and e-assist bicycles will be provided; participants should bring water and wear comfortable clothing for bicycling. The tour will be a total of 3 hours, with about 2 hours of riding, and includes ~3 stops.
